Blanc de Sers I.G.T., Dolomites' vineyard

Available in cases of 6, 750 ml bottles.

This wine is part of the project to recover Trentino old native varieties of vine and make them into wine. Blanc de Sers is obtained from the Wanderbara, Vernaza, Veltliner Rosato and Nosiola varieties.
SERSO, near the town of Pergine, on the right bank of the Fersina torrent close to Valle dei Mocheni, is by far the best area in the Valsugana for growing white grapes . The area lies between 500 and 650 metres a.s.l. and is sheltered from the northern winds, so the Blanc de Sers area is on a slope, is well ventilated and is exposed to sunlight all day long. Participating winegrowers are Dino Bosa, Maurizio Casapiccola, Oscar Fontanari, Giuseppina Luchi, Rino Sittoni and others whose vineyards are situated in the neighbourhood of Serso and Viarago.

Wine-making

Cold fermentation before pressing as a means of encouraging the partial release of aromatic substances from the skins to the must, followed by traditional white grape wine-making techniques with supervised alcoholic fermentation.

Wine

Colour: straw yellow tending to golden.
Bouquet and palate: fresh, flowery, a hint of ripe citrus fruit with a light final smell of sage.
